Gina Latimerlo's love of teaching began early when her older brother would trick her into doing his homework by pretending to need her to tutor him, and then it continued to grow as she corrected her first grade teacher's spelling on the board (which we're sure her teacher enjoyed). Her desire to sing emerged recognizably at age 4 when she often drew herself in front of a microphone.

After practicing for many years in the shower, Gina began performing in 1992 in youth musicals.  She then went on to achieve a Bachelors degree in the fields of Music, Theatre, and English, and was soon credentialed to teach in all three subjects.  Gina's educational pursuits have currently culminated in a Masters in Teaching Music.

Always wanting to know more so that she can teach more, she has additionally trained with the best in voice, musical theatre, opera, jazz, pop, and drama in the Bay Area, Los Angeles, and New York through numerous professional training programs, as well as private lessons.

Gina has been teaching and directing all ages since 1995 with experience at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, as well as at the collegiate and local theatre level - at San Francisco Bay Area locations such as the Young Actors Theatre Camp, Broadway by the Bay, Hillbarn Theatre, Notre Dame de Namur University, and more.  She and her husband, Eli, have also written and produced shows through their non-profit production company designed to showcase SF Bay Area writers and talent.  As a writer, Gina's plays have been produced locally as both staged readings and fully produced plays at a number of locations.

Gina has been thoroughly enjoying instructing voice and acting through private lessons in her Latimerlo Studio since 1998 and has a highly successful clientele. Her students, have, in addition to local successes, signed with national talent agents and record labels, toured across the nation, and are routinely accepted into top-notch commercial music conservatories and theatre/musical theatre programs across the country. They can be seen performing in touring companies and on cruise ships, as well as, joyfully, on Broadway.
